Residential Yard Waste Program

Recology Mountain View Yard Waste Cart Yard waste collection is provided to customers that reside within the city limits of Mountain View. Yard waste is used in a number of recycling processes, such as composting. Yard waste recycling produces rich compost which can be used by local residents and farmers, rather than going to waste in a landfill.

Please set out your garbage, recycling and yard trimming carts in the street by 6:00am on collection day and remove them no later than the next day. Place carts at least 18 inches apart on the street by the curb. Store the carts behind a hedge, fence or other area screened from street view as a courtesy to your neighbors.
